March 27 SU Announces Refund Plans for Remainder of Spring Semester

3/27/2020 1:02 p.m.

Members of the Campus Community,

Yesterday, the University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents unanimously voted to designate authority to Chancellor Jay Perman to approve plans for the USM’s member institutions to offer partial refunds of student fees for the remainder of the spring semester.

At SU, this will include portions of athletics, intramural, student recreation, student activity, sustainability, student union operations and other fees, as well as refunds of residential and dining plan payments that would have covered the period from the end of Spring Break to the end of the academic year. Students will receive additional information from the Cashier’s Office and should be sure to check their SU emails. Those with questions once that information is received should contact the Cashiers Office at cashiers@salisbury.edu.

As distance learning and teleworking continue this semester, we know there are still some questions regarding grading, alternative Commencement plans and more. Please know that the University is doing all it can to determine the best solutions possible as we all continue to navigate these unprecedented times and protect our communities.

As always, continue to check the SU COVID-19 webpage for the most up-to-date information on SU’s novel coronavirus efforts, and please stay well.
