Accounting & Legal Studies
Bigger price tag, better degree, right? Wrong. At Salisbury, you’ll receive a top-shelf, rigorous education in accounting and law at a much better cost compared to other East Coast schools. Getting better value out of business education is your bottom line. And when you know not to overpay before you begin your studies, think about how much more you’ll know when you graduate from Salisbury.
Our Accounting and Legal Studies Department is responsible for all accounting and law courses that comprise the Bachelor of Science in accounting, the Franklin P. Perdue School M.B.A. program, the minor in accounting, and the introductory accounting and law courses required of all management, marketing, finance and management information systems majors. Many students in non-business majors also take some of the department’s courses as electives as part of their degree programs.

Our Academic Programs
Our Accounting and Legal Studies Department is recognized by students, stakeholders and education peers as one of the most innovative providers of professional accounting education on the East Coast. Its intensive, rigorous coursework reflects the highest standards in accounting education and is fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
The mandatory coursework for the major satisfies all of the requirements to sit for the CPA examination in Maryland. In order to satisfy Maryland’s 150-credit hour requirement for actual licensure, you may take additional undergraduate coursework or earn a Master of Business Administration from the Franklin P.
