Omicron Delta Epsilon
Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE) is the International Honor Society in Economics. It is one of the world’s largest academic honor societies, with 717 chapters in the United States and worldwide. Omicron Delta Epsilon’s objectives are to recognize scholastic attainment and honor outstanding achievements in economics.
What are the objectives/membership benefits of ODE?
- Recognition of scholastic attainment and honoring outstanding achievements in economics;
- Establishment of closer ties between students and faculty in economics within/among colleges and universities;
- Publication of its official journal, The American Economist;
- Sponsoring of panels at professional meetings as well as the ODE Graduate Research and Undergraduate Research Award competitions.
What are the admission requirements?
- Completion of 12 credit hours of economics courses;
- Attainment of a GPA of 3.0 or better in economics courses and an overall GPA of at least 3.0;
- Students should be making the study of economics one their major interests.
