I’m a senior at Salisbury University, majoring in the Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Program. Back in high school, I completed the Project Lead the Way Pathway for biomedical sciences. One of the projects required us to research a health care profession, and I chose to focus on laboratory technologists. That experience sparked my passion for the field and helped me realize just how vital lab professionals are to everyday health care. On campus, you can find me participating in club sports with the Salisbury Sharks rugby team and on game day working with the Sea Gull Sports Network helping broadcast for the school’s varsity sports. Off-campus, I work in the radiology department at Calvert Health Medical Center, a local hospital in my hometown. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about the MLS program or ways to get involved around campus!

I’m a senior majoring in social work with a minor in social justice studies. After graduating, I hope to further my education by enrolling in Salisbury’s Master of Social Work Program, with the goal of becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I aspire to work within the school system, advocating for children and students, especially those on the autism spectrum. I chose this career path because I’m dedicated to supporting individuals who may struggle to advocate for themselves, and I’m committed to making a positive difference in their lives. At Salisbury, I serve on the executive board for the on-campus food pantry, Food for the Flock. If you have any questions about the Social Work Program or anything else, don’t hesitate to reach out – I’d be happy to help!

I’m a senior in the Health Science Program. I’m originally from the Eastern Shore and transferred to Salisbury University after earning my associate degree in general studies at Wor-Wic Community College. At Wor-Wic, I served as a student ambassador, and I’m excited to bring that experience to my role as a CHHS Ambassador. The Health Science Program has been a great fit for me as I continue to explore different career paths. It’s introduced me to a variety of fields and helped me learn more about myself and my interests. After graduation, I hope to have a clearer understanding of my interests through internships and shadowing opportunities. Please reach out if you want to learn more about the Health Science Program!

I am a senior majoring in exercise science. When I arrived at Salisbury, I was unsure about what area of study to pursue, and I began my freshman year as an information systems major. By sophomore year, I discovered that my passion lies within serving others and making an impact by helping people to live a healthier life – a realization that resulted in me changing my major to exercise science. Since then, I’ve immersed myself in my major, becoming an Exercise Physiology Research Lab assistant, where I help to conduct studies. I also volunteer as a strength coach, working with both Salisbury softball and track & field teams. I stay active on campus through my involvement with the Exercise Science Club and the Track & Field Club, and I work on the digital media team for Intramural Sports. In the community, I serve as student mentor for the Wicomico Mentoring Project. Please feel free to reach out If you have any questions!

I’m a junior majoring in nursing. I envision my future in scrubs, moving with purpose through a busy hospital as a neurocritical care nurse. To make this vision a reality, I am dedicating my college years to building the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to succeed in the nursing field. It is an honor to serve on the CHHS Student Advisory Board, where I advocate for the Nursing Program and highlight why Salisbury is an excellent choice for students pursuing careers in health and human services. Outside the classroom, I wear many hats as a resident assistant, dancer, and student worker, while also enjoying time with friends, moments with my family, and even line dancing when I get the chance. These experiences fuel my passion for growth, learning, and having fun. Please feel free to reach out If you have any questions about the Nursing Program or campus life!

I am a senior public health major. As a freshman, I was a biomedical science student with an interest in becoming a neuroscientist. I loved learning about the brain, but what I was really passionate about was learning why people do what they do. That realization led me to switch my major to public health, and it was truly the best decision I’ve made. Today, I’m proud to serve as the president of Eta Sigma Gamma (ESG) – the Public Health Education Honorary Society. I’m also a student health educator with Project KISS and a 2025 recipient of the Outstanding Undergraduate Major of the Year Award, presented by ESG and the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC). Salisbury has provided me with amazing opportunities that I will forever be grateful for. In the future, my dream is to become an epidemiologist with a focus on prevention. My goal is to holistically help people live happy and healthier lives! If you have any questions about public health, ESG, or KISS, please feel free to reach out!

I’m a senior majoring in exercise science with a minor in psychology. My goal is to further my education by earning a master’s degree in dietetics or sports nutrition. Exercise science gives me the opportunity to explore how the human body moves and performs and how we can use this knowledge to help others live healthier, stronger lives. I’m particularly interested in research and enjoy conducting studies in the Exercise Physiology Research Lab on campus. Outside of academics, I stay actively involved in the Salisbury community.
