Post Office

The Salisbury University Post Office is located on the ground floor of the Commons Building down the hall from the Book Store. We are open from 8:00AM - 4:30PM Monday through Friday. Mailing Services

Certified Mail w/ Return Receipt

Certified mail requires a signature indicating it has been received. It is also used in tracking of your mail piece. The bottom stub stays on the mail piece and the sender gets the top section for his/her records. The return receipt is a green card that comes back with a signature in the mail back to the sender. Certified costs $3.60 USD and the Return Receipt costs $2.85 USD. This service is traceable on line at www.usps.com.

Insured Mail

Insured mail is available to protect packages against loss or damage. Insurance is purchased based on the value of the package being shipped. Insurance for under $50 costs $2.30 USD. Insurance between $51-$100 costs $2.95, and increases $1.20 for every $100 of additional coverage. This insurance is provided, and claims paid, by USPS. The service is traceable on line at www.usps.com.
Priority Mail

Priority mail is by far the most popular and cost effective means of mailing something quickly. Delivery is expected in 2-3 days, although it is not guaranteed. Any mail piece above 13 ounces automatically qualifies for priority mail. Priority mail rates start at $7.70 USD and increase depending on weight and the distance in which the parcel is traveling. We carry 12 different sizes of envelopes and boxes for your convenience, at no additional charge. USPS insurance of $50.00 is included in the priority mail rate.

International Mail

International mail and parcels are weighed and customs forms are filled out for delivery to all international countries including APO and FPO. Costs depend on weight and country. International letters start at $1.20 USD. Customs forms can be filled out and printed online.
