Oct - Nov 2022: Attend Self-Study Institute

Nov. – Dec. 2022:

• Identify Steering Committee Members
• Appoint Working Group Leaders.
• Appoint Working Group Members
• 1-2 months after SSI-Schedule video call with MSCHE VP liaison to discuss Self-Study Design Determine if we will host a fall or spring Self-Study team visit.

February 2023: Steering Committee writes and submits Self-Study Design draft

March 2023: Host Self-Study Preparation 1-day visit with MSCHE VP liaison. Self-Study Design accepted or revisions suggested.

April - June 2023: Working groups begin to review their charge and share questions and/or concerns with the Steering Committee.

April 28: Working Group Retreat

July 1: Self Study Design Plan due to Middle States

June 2023: Working Groups provide the Steering Committee with a list of any documents, data, or additional resources that they will need to complete their work.

Mid - September 2023: Steering Committee open meeting with entire community to receive feedback

October 2023: Steering Committee meets with working groups

November 2023 - March 2024: Working groups conduct analysis and create reports

October 2023: Steering Committee meets with working groups

November 2023-March 2024: Working groups conduct analysis and create reports

December 15, 2023: Working groups’ responses to research questions submitted to Steering Committee Co-Chairs

March 1, 2024: Working groups submit reports

April - September 2024:

• Self-Study draft written and shared with President’s Cabinet.
• MSCHE assembles the Self-Study chair and evaluation team and selects visit date.

Early October 2024: Self-Study Draft sent to campus for comment. Steering Committee open meeting with entire community to receive feedback and revise draft.

Late October 2024: Self-Study draft sent to Team Visit Chair two weeks before Team Chair preliminary visit.

November 6, 2024: Preliminary visit by Middle States team chair. 3-4 months before team visit.

December 2024: Steering Committee finalizes draft based on Team Chair visit.

January 2025: Submit/Upload Final Self-Study and data-6 weeks before visit

February 2025

• Develop an agenda
• Provide travel and logistical information

March 2-5, 2025: Full Team Visit

• Self-Study visit. Sunday night – Wed morning. Tuesday night team will write the draft report. Wed morning-Chair presents oral report to President first, then to campus.
• Team Draft Report-within 14 calendar days of the conclusion of the team visit
• Institution’s corrections to draft- within 5 calendar days of receipt of the draft report

April 2025:

• Team Final Report-within 5 calendar days of receipt of the corrected draft.
• Formal Institutional Response-within 7 calendar days of the final report being uploaded.
• Self-Study Team Chair upload confidential brief to the MSCHE portal within 5 days of institutional response.

May-June 2025

• 1-2 months after brief is submitted to MSCHE, the Team chair attends the meeting of the Commission’s Committee on Evaluation reports. Committee recommends action to MSCHE.
• Commission takes an accreditation action
