Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) - Created by W3C in an effort to improve web accessibility. WAI develops guidelines and other technical reports for developers to increase accessibility within complex web-applications.
SiteImprove is a company who specializes in website governance. Salisbury University has partnered with SiteImprove as a way to govern content added to the University’s website to ensure it complies with 508 requirements and responsibilities.
SiteImprove can be accessed three ways. All three ways require an active account. (If you do not have an account, please reach out to the web office so we can create one.) The following three ways are ways to utilize SiteImprove.

WAVE is an Internet tool that is used identify accessibility errors on your web pages. It was developed and is distributed for free by WebAIM. The National Center on Disability and Access to Education offers a tutorial on using the tool. The tool can be accessed in two of the following ways.
The National Center on Disability and Access to Education (www.ncdae.org) makes "cheatsheets" available to the public aid in the creation of accessible Microsoft Office and Adobe documents. Currently, there are cheatsheets available for Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and for Adobe's Acrobat and InDesign software products.
