Orientation, Transition & Family Programs is excited to welcome our parents, families, and supporters into the Salisbury University Community! We view the relationship between SU and you as a partnership – one which puts the success of our students at the forefront. Our office strives to promote opportunities for families to engage with the University and other parents, families, and supporters, receive up to date communications through our Family Experience Portal, and participate in programming.
Parent, Family & Supporter Orientation – Join your new student in the month of June for our Sea Gull Start-Up (in-person) program. You will have the opportunity to learn to navigate Salisbury University alongside your student through a separate orientation program geared towards YOU! Please note: Parent, Family & Supporter Orientation only runs throughout the month of June for those beginning their time at Salisbury University in the Fall semester.
As part of January’s orientation program, families are invited to join their new Sea Gull for insightful and engaging informational sessions that will help your student navigate their college experience here at SU. Like our June programs, some of these sessions will be specifically geared towards Sea Gull parents and other family members. Please note: this Parent, Family & Supporter Orientation only runs throughout the month of January for those beginning their time at Salisbury University in the Spring semester.
Family Experience Portal - The Salisbury University Family Experience portal and email newsletter allows parents, family members, and Supporters to stay informed about SU happenings, news, events and information. With an easy-to-use platform, you can quickly have access to hundreds of articles about Salisbury University’s campus. Account holders have the option to opt-in to weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly e-mails.

Homecoming & Family Weekend – Join us during our Annual Homecoming & Family Weekend. This is a fantastic opportunity for Parents, Family Members & Supporters to return to Salisbury University to spend some time with their Sea Gulls. Explore campus, eat in the dining hall, participate in the Flock Party, and check out the Football Game. Look for some specific Family Weekend activities by checking out the website.
Family Webinar Series – RSVP and sign-up for some specific virtual programming for Parent, Family Members & Supporters. As programming is announced, you will be able to sign-up for the webinars through the Family Experience Portal, so make sure you have signed up for the Portal.
Parent and Family Guide - The Parent and Family Guide is produced each year to inform parents, family members, & supporters of resources available to students as well as University policies and procedures. Please take the time to look through this document to find valuable resources as a family member of a new Sea Gull!
