Promote your opportunities directly to Salisbury University students and alumni through CareerGulls, our online recruiting platform powered by Symplicity. Employers can post full-time jobs, part-time positions, internships, seasonal opportunities, volunteer experiences, and experiential learning opportunities at no cost. All postings are reviews by Career Services to ensure they align with university recruiting standards and provide meaningful opportunities for students and alumni.

Getting Started in CareerGulls

Create an Employer Account

To begin recruiting at Salisbury University:

Visit the CareerGulls Employer Sign-In Page.
Select Sign Up.
Search for your organization to determine if an employer account already exists.
Complete your employer profile and submit your registration.
Allow 2-3 business days for account approval and review.

Job and Internship Posting Guidelines

Career Services reviews all job postings submitted in CareerGulls and reserves the right to deny any postings that do not align with our students best interests. Positions submitted will be reviewed within 2-3 business days.

To protect students and maintain the integrity of the CareerGulls recruiting platform, Career Services may deny postings that do not meet employer verification requirements or university recruiting standards.

What to Include in Your Job Posting
To help students evaluate opportunities and ensure timely approval, job postings should include:
- Detailed position description with a thorough overview of candidate responsibilities and job duties
- Required and preferred qualifications
- Position type (full-time, part-time, internship, etc.)
  - Please note: Internships for academic credit must follow the guidelines and approval process of the academic department that houses the student’s major. International internships for academic credit are managed by Salisbury University’s Janet Dudley-Eshbach Center for International Education.
- Work modality (on-site, hybrid, or virtual)
- Compensation information (if available)
- Employer contact information
- Posting expiration date
Postings Subject Additional Review
The following types of postings may require additional review by Career Services before approval:
- Third-party recruiters, staffing agencies or job boards
- Full-time positions that do not require at least a bachelor’s degree
- Opportunities posted on behalf of client organization by third-party recruiters
- Employers using personal email address (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo, etc.); rather than business-issued email addresses
- Opportunities whose applications are collected through personal email address (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo Mail, etc.)
Opportunities Not Accepted
The following opportunities do not meet Salisbury University Career Services recruiting standards and will not be approved for posting in CareerGulls:
- Internships that do not require students to be pursuing at least a bachelor's degree.
- Paid positions that do not meet applicable wage requirements or provide sufficient compensation information (internships may be unpaid or compensated with a stipend as long as opportunities meet federal guidelines; detailed learning objectives are required in job descriptions).
- Internships that do not provide a meaningful learning experiences and professional supervision.
- Positions without contact information available to Career Services.
- Opportunities requiring students to pay fees to apply, participate, or begin employment.
- Positions based in private residences or involving personal services.
- Positions posted by organizations that cannot be verified through a business website, business email address, and business location.
- Positions listed by employers whose websites require visitors to be over 21 years old.
- Positions posted by student led/run or volunteer led/run organization that does not have full-time employees.
- Opportunities that violate federal, state or local laws.
- Positions that primarily compensate through recruitment of additional participants.
- Postings that misrepresent employer opportunities.

Recruiting Expectations

As a recruiting partner with Salisbury University, employers are expected to:

Provide accurate and transparent position descriptions
Communicate professionally with applicants
Honor stated recruiting timelines and commitments
Maintain compliance with applicable employment laws
