International Students
The Master of Arts in Conflict Analysis and Dispute Resolution welcomes applicants from international students who can demonstrate graduate ability and proficiency in the English language.
The international student application process requires additional time to complete, so we prefer to have all forms and documents in the Admissions office by March 1 for the fall semester and Oct. 1 for the spring. However, international students may be admitted as long as class space is available. Graduate students are not eligible for on-campus housing.
International students should follow these guidelines for submission:
- Refer to the instructions for Application for International Students.
- $65 application fee (in U.S. dollars only).
- Foreign transcripts must be submitted in their original version, in English, with a GPA listed on a 4.0 scale and with credits comparable to SU credits. Otherwise, a professional course-by-course evaluation of all foreign academic transcripts is required. This professional evaluation will determine your academic level within the American system of education. The prospective student will be required to pay the cost associated with obtaining the evaluation (with the cost determined by agency). The following credential services have been approved by Salisbury University:
Salisbury University does not necessarily endorse WES or ECE. Obtaining an external evaluation service does not guarantee acceptance or awarding of credit by Salisbury. However, it has been the experience of the Office of Admissions that the university generally honors the assessment of credit to be awarded by these services.
- An official score report of your Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam. This report must be sent directly to International Admissions Office from the Testing Service – SU’s Institutional Code is 5403 for TOEFL. SU accepts the following scores to establish English language proficiency:
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): SCORE: 213 Computer Based Test (CBT); 550 Paper Based Test (PBT); 79 internet Based Test (iBT) - TOEFL scores are valid for two years from the test date. If it has been more than two years since you last took the TOEFL test, you must take it again to have scores reported. For more information, visit TOEFL.
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS): SCORE: 6.5 - For more information, visit IELTS.
- A Declaration of Finances Carefully read and complete all items on this form, and submit all required certifications. Any missing information or certification may cause a delay in the evaluation of your application. Certifications may be submitted on a separate sheet. All certificates must be submitted before an evaluation of your Declaration of Finances can be completed.
