Computer Science Minor
Since computers have become an integral part of our everyday life, those who become professionals in computer technology have a vast number of opportunities. Computer science minors at Salisbury University receive an introduction to computer technology.
Why Choose Computer Science at SU?
The minor in computer science requires completion of 18 credits of computer science courses with grades of C or better in each course. These courses must include:
- COSC 117 Programming Fundamentals
- COSC 118 Introductory Scientific Programming
- COSC 120 Computer Science I
An additional 10 or more credits of COSC courses must be taken, of which at least four of those credits must come from a COSC course at the 200 level or higher. At least 15 credit hours of the minor must consist of courses not used to satisfy General Education requirements, and at least nine credit hours must be earned at SU.
For a more in-depth study, SU also offers a computer science major.
