From Awareness to Action: One School of Social Work’s Response to the Release of the Association of Social Work Boards Exam Pass Rate DataApril 20232023 Annual BPD Conference , Birmingham, ALThe Association of Social Work Boards published pass rates by test-taker demographics for the first time in 2022. Differences in pass rates by characteristics including race/ethnicity and primary language led to an outcry from professionals demanding action to address inequities in testing outcomes. These presenters used this professional moment to engage faculty and students in the decision-making process regarding our school’s response. This presentation focuses on our efforts to inform members of our school and create a school-wide collaborative strategy to better position our graduates, and all future social workers, for professional success in the presence of pass rate inequities.
