In spring 2023, I started a new public philosophy project in collaboration with Together Cafe in downtown Salisbury, called Curious Questions: A Philosophy Cafe. The Cafe meets twice a month from February to May, with a new question for every session -- Can we really understand each other? Does true love exist? Would the world be better without suffering? The project is sponsored by the Philosophy Department and Fulton Public Humanities Program of Salisbury University.

I am a board member of the Lower Shore Autism Community (LSAC), a local non-profit committed to advocating for individuals on the Autism Spectrum and their families. LSAC offers monthly family support meetings, connects families with services and resources, and organizes sensory-friendly events such as the Family Fun Day in spring, Fall Fun Festival, and holiday brunch.

I am the facilitator of the Health Humanities Faculty Learning Community (2018 --). The FLC aims to bring together an interdisciplinary collaboration of faculty members interested in the teaching and scholarship of health, healthcare, and medicine from diverse perspectives. One of our first major collaborative efforts was the new Minor in Health Humanities.
