Juilliard Series Continues-April 11-Pianist Vassily Primakov

SALISBURY, MD---Russian pianist Vassily Primakov performs in concert on Sunday, April 11, at 2 p.m. at in the Wicomico Room in the Guerrieri University Center at Salisbury State University. Free and open to the public, the concert is part of the Universityâs Juilliard Series.

Primakov is the winner of numerous international prizes in piano competition. This year he took second prize in the prestigious Young Concert Artists International Auditions in New York.

Primakov studied at the Central School of Music in Moscow prior to enrolling in the Juilliard School at age 18 in 1997. He studies with concert pianist Jerome Lowenthal on full scholarship at Juilliard.

The Santa Barbara News-Press wrote the following about a recent performance by Primakov: "There was no doubt something unusual was taking place the minute Primakov touched the keyboard. It was riveting. It was awesome. And, it brought the house down."
