Winter Storm Warning

Salisbury University will close today, Tuesday, January 21, at 2 p.m. due to the winter storm. All classes and other campus activities for this afternoon and evening are cancelled. Essential personnel not on approved leave should report to work.
Members of the campus community are encouraged to check e-mail, the SU website and the SU Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as local media for updates, including Wednesday hours.

Salisbury, MD----The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Wicomico County from 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, through midnight. Snow accumulations of 4-8 inches are possible. Members of the campus community are encouraged to check email, the SU website and the SU Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as local media for updates.
Snow is expected to begin late morning and continue into late evening. The heaviest snowfall is forecasted in the afternoon and early evening, with amounts of 1 inch per hour possible. Winds may average 15-25 MPH with gusts around 40 MPH. Freezing temperatures are set to drop into the teens after the snow ends.
The Salisbury University Police Department is continuing to monitor the situation in conjunction with the Wicomico County Department of Emergency Services.
