SU's CELL Hosts Tour of the Maryland State House
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Center for Extended and Lifelong Learning (CELL) hosts a tour of the Maryland State House for middle school-aged girls and boys through its Girls Innovation Academy (GIA) on Saturday, November 10.
A bus leaves SU at 9 a.m., returning at 5 p.m. The State House is the oldest U.S. state capitol in continuous legislative use, dating to 1772. It houses the Maryland General Assembly, along with the offices of the governor and lieutenant governor. The building is topped by the largest wooden dome in the U.S. constructed without nails.
Admission is $15, including a box lunch. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. Participants do not have to be GIA members.
