SU Commemorates Veterans Day November 12
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s annual Veterans Day ceremony is 2 p.m. Monday, November 12, on the front steps of Holloway Hall.
The event includes a presentation of colors by the SU ROTC and music by the SU Chorale, directed by Dr. William Folger, Music, Theatre and Dance Department co-chair.
Speakers include SU President Charles Wight and former U.S. Marine William Marsich. Shannon Hardester, SU Registrar’s Office coordinator of veterans and special populations, hosts the ceremony. The public is invited.
The event is part of a special Veterans Week celebration for SU student veterans and active military students. Activities culminate with free admission for veterans and active military (with ID), in partnership with SU athletics, to the men’s basketball game on Saturday, November 17, at Maggs Physical Activities Center.
(The Sea Gulls play that day in the Salisbury Optimist International Tournament; game time and opponent will depend on the previous day’s results).
