Registration Open for Spring 2019 PRESTO Performing Arts Classes
SALISBURY, MD---Want to learn to play a musical instrument or improve acting skills? Salisbury University can help.
SU’s PRESTO performing arts program is seeking students of all ages and skill levels for its spring 2019 sessions, beginning in early February. Private instruction is available in strings (violin, viola, cello and bass), piano, voice, guitar, acting, and most orchestral and band instruments. Group guitar lessons for children ages 9-14 also are available.
Lessons begin the week of February 11. Students participate in 12 weekly sessions each semester, culminating in a student recital on Tuesday, May 14, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.
Cost for private music lessons is $346.50 per 12-week semester for a 30 minute-per-week lesson with a professional teacher. Half-hour sessions with student teachers are available for $277 per semester. Lessons for 45 minutes and one hour also are available. Private acting lessons are available only in 45- and 60-minute increments.
Lessons are offered weekday afternoons from Monday-Friday and Saturday mornings, all by appointment. Except for piano, students are required to bring their own instruments.
