SU Hosts Bus Trip to U.S. Naval Academy
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Center for Extended and Lifelong Learning hosts a bus trip to the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis through its fall “SU on the Road” series Friday, October 12.
The bus departs SU at 8 a.m., leaving the academy at 3 p.m. and returning at approximately 5 p.m.
The trip includes a historical guided walking tour of the academy during which professional, certified guides provide commentary on major attractions including Bancroft Hall (midshipmen dormitory), Memorial Hall, the statue of Tecumseh, the Herndon Monument (famous for the “Herndon Climb), main chapel and crypt of Revolutionary War naval hero John Paul Jones.
Those attending will learn about the admissions process, and the education and training of midshipmen. After the tour, participants will watch the popular noon formation before heading to lunch at the academy’s Drydock Restaurant.
