Greater Salisbury Committee and SU's CELL Host Transformational Community Leadership Program
SALISBURY, MD---The Greater Salisbury Committee (GSC) and Salisbury University’s Center for Extended and Lifelong Learning (CELL) are seeking participants for the second installment of their Transformational Community Leadership program.
An information session is 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, February 21, at the SU University House, 1116 Camden Ave. Alumni from the inaugural cohort will be on hand to share their experiences.
The eight-month series gives emerging community leaders an opportunity to explore the institutions that drive the community, set the business tone and help determine quality-of-life standards.
Beginning in March, the series includes leadership training and learning about the issues, businesses, entities, facilities, and economic development engines that drive the Salisbury/Wicomico area.
Monthly Thursday classes are noon-4:30 p.m., beginning and ending at the GSC offices, 200 W. Main St. Session dates are March 21, April 25, May 16, June 13, July 18, August 15, September 19 and October 17. Activities include site tours, panel discussions, question-and-answer sessions and more.
Cost is $575 per person, including lunch, materials, leadership assessments and transportation to site visits. Registration opens Friday, February 22.
