Jerry Tabor Ear Alliance to Perform at SU
SALISBURY, MD---The Jerry Tabor Ear Alliance performs 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 30, in Room 316 of Salisbury University’s Conway Hall.
The quintet performs a recital of contemporary jazz and fusion compositions by Tabor, professor of music in SU’s Music, Theatre and Dance Department and director of the SU Jazz Ensemble.
Musicians include guitarist Tabor, bassist Amy Shook, percussionist Frank Russo of Towson University (both recording artists from the Russo-Shook Quintet), pianist Brian Dean of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and trumpeter and SU alumnus Tom Davis.
Works by Tabor include “Throttle,” “An Opening to the Sky,” “Gallery East” and “Stasisissimo.” The concert also features Woody Shaw’s “The Moontrane” and an original composition by Shook.
