SU Theatre Presents Euripedes’ ‘Medea’
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Bobbi Biron Theatre Program presents Euripides’ Medea Thursday-Sunday, October 10-13, in the Black Box Theatre of Fulton Hall.
Curtain is 7:30 p.m., 2 p.m. Sunday.
In Ben Power’s update to the ancient tragedy, directed by Matt Saltzberg and including original music by Jerry Tabor, Medea is a woman discarded in a misogynistic and xenophobic society. Cornered like a caged animal, she exacts a horrific revenge and destroys everything she holds dear. The play challenges patrons to consider if it could have ended any other way.
The cast includes Daelyn Funk as Medea and Joe Groth as Jason. Additional cast members are Alex Adah, Meghan Baker, Michelina DeVeas, Patrick Gover, Ella Idoni, Nick Idoni, Chris Jarrett, Maggie Jones, Kimberley Lapidario, Brandon Lill, Kai Mellarkey and Danny Mitchell.

Sponsored by the Music, Theatre and Dance Department, admission is $15; $10 for seniors age 62-plus and SU faculty, staff and alumni; $5 for non-SU students; $3 for SU students with Gull Card.
