SU Opera Theatre Ensemble Performs December 4-6
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Opera Theatre Ensemble presents “Scenes from Die Fledermaus, Hansel and Gretel, Lakmé and The Marriage of Figaro” Friday-Sunday, December 4-6, in a virtual format.
Co-directed by Dr. John Wesley Wright and Veronica Tomanek, curtain is 7:30 p.m., 2 p.m. Sunday.
The ensemble is comprised of Julia Alexander, Zoe Michelle Bradshaw, Olivia Davidson, Joshua Dennis, Lance Fisher, Jessica Graver, Jessica Johnson, Kadie Laramore, Kate McLoughlin, Sophia Merbaum, Miranda Rothermund, Thomas Snyder, Kyra Stewart, Javier Suarez and Treyce Wilson.
They perform songs including “Chacun à son goût” from Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss II, “The Letter duet” from The Marriage of Figaro by W. A. Mozart, Beppe’s Act II aria “Serenata” from Pagliacci by Ruggero Leoncavallo, and “Evening Prayer” from Hansel and Gretel by Engelbert Humperdinck.
