DeMallie Continues SU’s Riall Lecture Series
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s E. Pauline Riall Lecture Series in Education continues with author Suzanne Rupp DeMallie 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, in the Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons Assembly Hall.
In her book Can You Hear Me Now?, the nationally recognized author and child advocate exposes the unsettling reality of public school classrooms with a firsthand account of the policies and practices that leave so many children behind. She taught for seven years in Baltimore County Public Schools.
Research into her own son’s learning difficulties led her to author the Classroom Auditory Learning Issues Resolution, adopted by the National Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). She was honored with the 2007 National PTA Life Achievement Award, the highest accolade from the nation’s largest advocacy organization.
Admission to her presentation is free and the public is invited.
All attendees at Salisbury University indoor events are required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status. Attendees may be asked to leave an event for non-compliance.
All attendees must complete an online COVID-19 screening on the day of their visit, prior to coming to the SU campus.
