PRESTO 'Small and Mighty Music Fundamentals' Open House August 25
SALISBURY, MD---Cheryl Florin, Salisbury University PRESTO piano instructor, invites community members with young children interested in music instruction to a free open house of her Small and Mighty Music Fundamentals group class for fall registration. This 45-minute introduction of how a typical class will look and feel is 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 25.
Because of COVID-19 restrictions, this demonostration class is held online through Zoom. The actual class location – whether online or in person – will be determined before the class begins on Wednesday, September 15.
During the open house, Florin guides children ages 5-7 and their parents through unique opportunities offered through SU's PRESTO preparatory program in music and performing arts. This class blends fun and instruction as children learn about music components including singing, rhythm, beginning note reading, movement, dance and ear training. Music games used in the class are based on Orff, Kodaly, Suzuki and Edwin Gordin’s Music Learning Theory.
For reservations and a link to this Zoom open house, email Florin. For more information call 410-543-6030 or visit the SU website.
