'Washington Monthly' Again Names SU Among 'America's Biggest Bang for the Buck Colleges'

Holloway HallSALISBURY, MD---For the ninth consecutive year, Washington Monthly magazine has named Salisbury University one of its “Best Bang for the Buck Colleges.”

The best value list spotlights schools that “help non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices.” The overall rankings celebrate institutions’ “contributions to the public good.”

SU was ranked at No. 63 overall among master’s-level universities nationwide, and No. 109 for value among all universities in the Northeast.

To be included, colleges had to meet criteria related to social mobility (recruiting and graduating low-income students), research and providing opportunities for public service. Net price of attendance also was a factor.
