Important COVID-19 and Campus Information for Employees

Dear SU Faculty and Staff,
As Salisbury University continues its COVID-19 precautions, please note the following:
- All members of the campus community are required to remain up to date with their vaccines, according to guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), including getting the booster when eligible.
- To schedule a local vaccine or booster appointment or access a booster calculator, visit: https://coronavirus.maryland.gov/pages/vaccine#BoosterEligibility
- Employees who do not get the booster when eligible and do not have an approved exemption, will lose access to campus beginning Friday, February 4.
- Exemption requests for spring semester must be submitted by Monday, January 24.
- Employees will receive an email if SU does not have your vaccine or booster on file.
- For employees who receive an approved medical or religious exemption:
- Employees with approved exemptions are required to test twice weekly (Tuesdays/Thursdays) in order to maintain access to campus.
- Employees are required to sign-up for testing by Thursday, January 27, at midnight, visit: https://sutesting.timetap.com/ to register.
- KN95 face masks are required in all classrooms and instructional settings and encouraged in all other areas of campus during the semester.
- One free box of 10 KN95 masks can be picked up at the Information Desk in Guerrieri Student Union beginning Monday, January 24

- SU no longer offers take-home COVID-19 tests. Four free tests can be requested by mail (one order per residential address). Employees are encouraged to request the free at-home tests at www.covidtests.gov. Employees also can sign-up for an in-person test on campus.
- As Salisbury University continues the search for its next President, campus community input is requested by Academic Search, the firm SU is partnering with for the search, and the USM search committee.
- Meetings with faculty and staff are scheduled Friday, January 21 via Zoom (Check your SU email for invitation)
- 1 p.m.: Faculty
- 2 p.m.: Staff
- Campus and community members also are encouraged to complete the Presidential Search Pre-Survey to make their voice heard. Deadline to complete the survey is Sunday, January 23.
