SU's Anderson, Wagner Celebrate Musician Peter Dale Wimbrow

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University celebrates an Eastern Shore musical legend during the concert Louise Anderson and Diana Wagner present “‘Thinking of You’: Peter Dale Wimbrow’s Musical Love Letters Home” 7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 26, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.
A small-town boy from Worcester County, MD, Wimbrow became a nationwide radio and stage sensation, all the while documenting the places and people he longed for – especially his native Eastern Shore. His catalog documents the popular music culture of the 1920s, as well as early 20th-century life on Delmarva. Multi-instrumentalists Anderson and Wagner recreate Wimbrow’s unparalleled musical contributions to the Delmarva Peninsula’s history and culture.
Tickets are $10, $5 for seniors, free for SU faculty, staff and students, available through SU’s online box office at www.salisbury.edu/performingarts. A livestream also is offered for $5.
