Weather Advisories Issued for Wicomico County January 9
SALISBURY, MD---The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued high wind and coastal flood warnings and a local flood watch for the Wicomico County area on Tuesday, January 9, as a result of Winter Storm Finn.
A strong low pressure system will pass through the area Tuesday afternoon, affecting the area through the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 10.
In Wicomico County, up to 3 inches of rain are possible throughout the day and overnight, accompanied by sustained winds of 35-45 mph, with gusts in excess of 65 mph expected.
Those traveling should use caution while driving and those outdoors should take special care in low-lying areas due to flooding and near trees and forested areas due to the high winds.
