SU's Spring Fulton Feature Friday Concerts Announced

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University faculty and staff display their musical talents during Fulton Feature Friday concerts in downtown Salisbury this spring.

Sponsored by the Whaley Family Foundation, performances are 6 p.m. select Fridays of the month at The Brick Room, 116 N. Division Street. They include:

• February 9 – Rhythm Revival: Comprised of Dave Raizen, Zoe Michelle Bradshaw, Alex DiPirro, Dan Drehmer, James Ellis and Ted Nichols, the group performs an eclectic blend of blues, rock, jazz and folk, bonding over a shared love of rhythms from around the world.
• March 8 – Todd Smith: Bassist Smith and his friends play blues and rock-n-roll classics made famous by artists such as Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Junior Wells and others. Smith has been performing since 1985 and has opened for and shared the stage with such acts as Little Feat, John Hiatt, James McMurtry, Shawn Mullins, Yes and others.
• March 15 – The Blarney Pilgrims: This St. Patrick’s weekend concert from The Blarney Pilgrims features traditional and modern music from the Celtic and American folk genres. Members are Meri Holden (violin), Andy Dowell (flute) and Brad Stevens (hammered dulcimer, mandolin, octave mandolin and Celtic harp). The music is mostly instrumental, but with a few sing-a-longs.
• April 12 – Danielle Cumming and John Wesley Wright: “Spring, Spain, Spirituals!”: Toronto-born guitarist Cumming and Georgia-born tenor Wright, North-Meets-South, present an eclectic program ranging from Renaissance to modern popular music to African American spirituals.

Attendees must be 21 or older. Hosted by SU’s Charles R. and Martha N. Fulton School of Liberal Arts, admission is free and the public is invited.
