Salisbury Symphony Orchestra Joined by Trumpeter John Kilgore May 11

SALISBURY, MD---Trumpeter John Kilgore joins the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra at Salisbury University (SSO) for the concert “Fanfare for the Summer” 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, in the Jackson Family Auditorium of Holloway Hall.
The SSO closes its 38th season with Kilgore, who performs Alexander Arutunian’s Trumpet Concerto in A Flat Major.
Kilgore maintains a diverse career, serving as principal trumpet of the Boise Philharmonic since 2017 and as instructor of trumpet at Kansas State University since 2019. He has performed guest principal trumpet with the Boise Baroque Chamber Orchestra and Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, and as a section trumpet with the West Virginia Symphony and Lexington (KY) Philharmonic.
Tickets are $25; $20 for seniors; $10 for SU faculty and staff; $5 for students, available through SU’s online box office.
