SU Named Top Performer in Energy in 2024 Sustainable Campus Index

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University recently was recognized as a Top Performer in Energy in the 2024 Sustainable Campus Index (SCI).
A publication from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), the SCI recognizes top-performing sustainable colleges and universities overall and in 17 impact areas, as measured through the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS).
SU’s 2024 report received the STARS Bronze Award and earned fourth overall in the energy category with a 79.6%.
SU is one of only 10 higher education institutions in the U.S. named a Top Performer in Energy based on their rating.
Institutions are evaluated every three years on factors including building energy use, food waste, recycling practices, education, and other campus services and initiatives.
