CCART 'Yart Sale' to Fund Visual Arts Scholarship at SU
By SU Public Relations
SALISBURY, MD---Over the past 25 years, the Cavallaro and Cleary Visual Arts Foundation (CCART) has helped pave the way for future artists by awarding nearly $200,000 in CCART scholarships for local students seeking careers in the visual arts.
Recently, the foundation announced that, while CCART is ending, those scholarships will continue at Salisbury University thanks to an endowment through the SU Foundation, Inc.
To help facilitate the endowment, CCART is giving members of the community one last opportunity to shop for original art, craftworks and more at its final one-day “Yart Sale” 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, September 28, at the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore office, 1324 Belmont Ave., Suite 401, in Salisbury.
Donated original works by well-known regional artists will be featured, reduced for sale up to 75% of their original value. Prices will range from $5-$1,000 for pottery, paintings, prints, photos and other works of art. Other items, including display panels, pedestals, easels, frames, art supplies and more, will be available for purchase at reduced prices.
Admission is free and the public is invited. For more information email CCART, call 410-546-1068 or visit the event webpage.
