'African Voices' Smithsonian Bus Trip Friday, November 4"

In recognition of this role, the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C., has unveiled a new exhibit, “African Voices,” examining the diversity and influence of Africa’s peoples and cultures.
class=""MsoNormal"">Salisbury University and the University Galleries sponsor a bus trip to the exhibit Friday, November 4, as part of this fall’s museum programs.
class=""MsoNormal"">“African Voices” includes both historical and contemporary objects. Interactive videos and sound stations provide selections from contemporary interviews, traditional literature, proverbs, prayers, folk takes, songs and oral epics.
class=""MsoNormal"">The bus leaves the Guerrieri University Center parking lot at 8 a.m. and will depart Washington, D.C., at approximately 4 p.m. The cost for University Gallery members, SU and University of Maryland Eastern Shore students and those affiliated with either university is $20.
