Alma Piano Trio Performance December 12
SALISBURY, MD---The Alma Piano Trio, part of the Juilliard Series at Salisbury University, performs a program of Mozart, Octavio Vasquez and Erich Korngold on Wednesday, December 12, at 7 p.m. in the Wicomico Room of the Guerrieri University Center.Admission is free and the public is cordially invited.
The Trio made its Alice Tully Hall debut at Lincoln Center last year to great acclaim and since then has returned for additional performances.
On piano is Gloria Yi-Chen Lin, who as a soloist and chamber musician, has also performed at the United Nations, the Ford Center in Toronto and in France, Spain and Venezuela.
Violinist Soohyun Kwon has performed as a soloist with many orchestras, including the Vienna Symphony Chamber Orchestra, the Czech Symphony Orchestra, the Shanghai Symphony and the New Seoul Symphony Orchestra. As a member and soloist of the Korea Chamber Ensemble, she has toured extensively in Asia, Canada and the United States.
Violoncellist Jesus Casto-Balbi has played throughout Europe and North and Latin Americas. He was a soloist with the Philharmonia of Yale, the Verbier Festival Youth Orchestra (Switzerland) and with such prominent conductors as Gilbert Amy, Pierre Boulez, David Robertson, Joel Sachs and Lawrence Leighton Smith.
