'An American Thanksgiving' Dinner Features Hammered Dulcimer November 15
SALISBURY, MD---From New England to California, each region has its own specialty to bring to the Thanksgiving dinner table. Salisbury University’s dining services celebrates these regional favorites during “An American Thanksgiving” 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 15.
Part of SU’s fall “Festival of Foods” series, the evening also features a hammered dulcimer performance by local musician Ray Emmons.
Menu selections include roast turkey with chardonnay gravy (California), Virginia ham with Vidalia marmalade (South), herb-roasted salmon (Pacific Northwest), cranberry sauce, oyster and mushroom stuffing (New England), vegan stuffing, Cajun sweet potato praline casserole (New Orleans), garlic mashed potatoes (New England), lemon-garlic broccoli (South), green beans with garlic (New England), spiced apple cider (New England), Tennessee Jam Cake (South), pumpkin cheesecake (New England), cranberry nut bread, miniature bread loaves, apple pie, sweet potato pie, pumpkin bread, sweet potato biscuits and pumpkin pie with whipped topping.
The cost of the meal is $9.30 plus tax for adults, $5.72 plus tax for children ages 6-12. Children under 5 dine free.
