Basko, Endicott Present at MACCA Conference

SALISBURY, MD---Two Salisbury University representatives recently spoke during the Mid-Atlantic Career Counseling Association’s 41st annual conference in Lancaster, PA.

Aaron Basko, assistant vice president for enrollment management, and Charlie Endicott, associate director of SU career services, presented “Career Services and Admissions: A Partnership for Career Development.”

Their talk focused on how a strategic partnership between career services and admissions offices could help improve students’ career development. They showed how, through an extended model, these offices can serve students from the pre-enrollment process through graduation and beyond.

Basko has published articles in trade magazines and journals including Recruitment and Retention in Higher Education, Student Affairs Leader, Campus Life and the Journal of College Admissions, among others. He also has presented seminars including “Return on Investment: Marketing Your Campus’ Education Outcomes” and “Managing Staff Change.”

Endicott began his career in higher education as an admissions counselor after working in personnel for about two years and underground for 15 years for West Virginia coal mines. He served as career services director at Fairmont State College, WV, before coming to SU.

The Mid-Atlantic Career Counseling Association is a division of the National Career Development Association, providing networking and collaboration opportunities for career services professionals.
