Dogfish Head Owner Speaks to SU Students
SALISBURY, MD---Dogfish Head Craft Brewery owner Sam Calagione recently shared his recipe for success with Salisbury University students.
“We focus on innovation and quality,” he said, explaining some of the unique ingredients and process used to make his “off-centered ales for off-centered people”—now sold in some 27 states.
During the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business’ Executive Leadership Series lecture, Calagione discussed Dogfish Head’s roots in Delaware and its growth patterns, his enthusiasm for his product and his team, and the partnerships he is forming with other creative-minded companies and craft breweries.
“A sprit of collaboration is embedded in my company’s DNA,” he said. Known for his benevolence, he also told SU students: “The choice to get involved in the world of business, and to use business to do a world of good, is noble.”
