Egyptian Musician Mohamed Kazem Performs Monday, May 2

SALISBURY, MD---Mohamed Kazem, Egyptian diplomat and musician performs, 7 p.m., Monday, May 2, in the Wicomico Room of the Guerrieri University Center as part of Salisbury University’s Multicultural Festival. Kazem, who holds a doctorate in public diplomacy, is on assignment to the Euro-Arab Foundation in Spain, an organization focused on the socio-economic and educational development of Arab nations and their citizens. His performance, part of the World Artists Experience (WAE) Ambassadors’ Series, combines diplomacy, lyrics and music to create art. Several instrumentalists provide musical accompaniment. Focused on the universal themes of hopes, fears, ambitions, frustrations, insecurity and the dream of peace and love, Kazem’s songs are presented in three languages. The WAE is a Maryland-based organization that promotes cultural appreciation and diversity through the arts.
