Exide's Whalen Delivers Perdue Executive Leadership Lecture March 6
SALISBURY, MD---Charlie Whalen, global vice president of enterprise applications at Exide Technologies, is the next speaker in Salisbury University’s Perdue Executive Leadership Series 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, in Holloway Hall Auditorium.
Whalen joined Exide in 2017. Producing automotive and industrial batteries, as well as solar products, the Georgia-based company serves a worldwide market. Whalen oversees the strategic direction of its information technology (IT) application portfolio and its support of the company’s overall business strategy.
The SU alumnus (’95) has over 22 years of industry experience, leading the design, development, and implementation of high performance business transformation programs around the world. His professional tenure has been spread across several global companies in roles within the “Big 5 Consulting” and Fortune 100.
Whalen has led operations for CSM Bakery Solutions and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and spent 12 years with The Coca-Cola Co., where he held several roles of increasing responsibility. Notably, he led major workstreams of a global business transformation that took him around the world to six continents and over 40 countries.
Throughout his career, he has worked in the disciplines of data governance, data management, finance, accounting, supply chain, IT shared services and business operations. He also has led and managed a global team of resources across many different countries, cultures and languages.
