Foundation Thanks MooreFor Years of Service

class=""MsoNormal"">SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University recently thanked Ronald T. “Ronnie” Moore of Rehoboth Beach, DE, for his service to both the University’s Foundation and Real Estate Foundation.  He served on their boards of directors from July 2002 through June 2005.

class=""MsoNormal"">“Ronnie’s expertise and input have been invaluable to us over the course of the last three years,” said Kim Nechay, assistant director of the Foundation.  “He is a wonderful friend of the institution.  We will miss him around the board table.”

class=""MsoNormal"">“I’ve enjoyed working with the whole group,” said Moore. “I hope others will continue to support this fine university.  I love this place.”

class=""MsoNormal"">Moore was honored at his last Foundation board meeting for his efforts to enhance the educational experience of students at the University.  The chairman and CEO of J.A. Moore & Sons Inc., a development company in Sussex County, DE, Moore is past chairman of the board of Delaware National Bank.  

class=""MsoNormal"">The SU Foundation was created in 1973 to accumulate funds by gift and investment and to foster, encourage and enrich the activities, educational programs, athletics and scholarships of SU. The Foundation promotes, sponsors and carries out educational, scientific and charitable programs for the benefit of the University and its students.

class=""MsoNormal"">The Salisbury University Real Estate Foundation was incorporated in 1999 to assist SU and the SU Foundation in securing gifts of real estate to benefit the institution.  Additionally, the Real Estate Foundation board works to acquire and manage properties that are suitable for the university’s facilities master plan.
