'Great Composers' Series Celebrates Chopin, Schumann February 7
SALISBURY, MD---Two hundred years later, romantic composers Frederic Chopin and Robert Schumann share the celebration of their year of birth.
Salisbury University’s Department of Music presents the fourth annual “Celebration of Great Composers” piano recital 1 and 3 p.m. Sunday, February 7 in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.
Founded by music faculty Paskova in 2006, the series originated as a way to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Mozart’s birth.
Included are the works of Department of Music faculty and members of the National Piano Guild, Donna Adler, Susan Boone, Camelia Lasley, Linda Cockey and Luba Paskova. The success of “Mozart at 250” doubled the number of participants for the fourth annual recital.
Sponsored by the Department of Music, a $5 donation at the door is requested and the public is invited. For more information call 410-543-6030 or visit the SU Web site at www.salisbury.edu.
