'Guitar in the Gallery' Features Matt Dunlap
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Guitars in the Gallery series continues with a performance and master class by Matt Dunlap at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, February 5, in the Fulton Hall Gallery. The series, directed by Dr. Danielle Cumming of the Music Department, presents emerging professional guitarists in concert.
Dunlap earned his Masters of Music in guitar performance from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, and went on to complete his Doctorate at Florida State University. In 2004 he received the Promising Artist of the 21st Century Award from Florida State University. Dunlap has performed concerts and conducted master classes in Italy, Costa Rica and numerous venues in the US, and currently teaches guitar for Loudoun County Public Schools in northern Virginia.
The 2008-2009 Guitars in the Gallery series concludes March 5, with a performance and master class by ChromaDuo, comprised of Canadian guitarists Tracy Anne Smith and Rob MacDonald. Admission to the series is free and the public is invited. For information call 410-543-6385.
