Hurricane Earl Weather Update

The threat of Hurricane Earl has passed Salisbury and the Delmarva Peninsula, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Skies are expected to continue clearing through this evening, remaining clear throughout the weekend, the NWS’ afternoon report said.
The U.S. Coast Guard continues to urge people not to swim at mid-Atlantic beaches until local officials say the water is safe, as the storm continues to create larger-than-average waves and possible rip currents as it moves up the East Coast.
If traveling over the holiday weekend, please consider weather and road conditions. Some areas may be more affected by the storm than others.
Salisbury University wishes its students, faculty and staff a safe and happy Labor Day weekend.
