Matt Palmer Continues 'Guitar in the Gallery' Series at SU Tuesday, September 10

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Guitar in the Gallery series returns this semester with a performance by guitarist Matt Palmer 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, in the University Gallery of Fulton Hall.

Palmer has appeared as a solo artist throughout the United States, Europe, Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean. He is a recipient of Guitar International Magazine’s “Up and Coming Guitarist of the Year” award. The publication also lauded his debut album, Un tiempo fue Itálica famosa. In addition, Palmer has won first prize in a number of competitions, including the Columbus State Guitar Symposium, Beeston Memorial Competition and Beethoven Club Guitar Competition.

Sponsored by the Department of Music, admission is free and the public is invited. Upcoming artists in the series include Dr. Danielle Cumming of SU’s Department of Music on Tuesday, November 19.
