Perdue School Hosts Mid-Atlantic CIO Forum Meeting May 18-19
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Franklin P. Perdue School of Business hosts the Mid-Atlantic Chief Information Officer (CIO) Forum’s monthly board meeting Wednesday-Thursday, May 18-19.
The theme is “Cultivating Innovation.” Highlights include a reception with Perdue School students, faculty, staff and alumni. During the board meeting, Bill Burke, professor in the Perdue School, will present an information systems program. SU CIO Jerry Waldron discusses the University’s technology infrastructure.
“The forum event will showcase our students and some of the new initiatives we are introducing into the information and decision sciences curriculum, as well as the IT features of our new Perdue School of Business building,” said Burke, who is coordinating the visit. “We are excited about the opportunity to welcome these information technology executives to campus and share with them what the Perdue School has to offer.”
Founded in 2003, the forum is designed to foster excellence in business and information technology in an environment that promotes educational and networking opportunities for chief information officers facing similar challenges and issues. Members include Perdue Farms Incorporated, Utz Quality Foods, Constellation Energy, McCormick & Company, and W.R. Grace & Company, among others.
