Reavis Soloist for "Savor Goes to the Moon'"
SALISBURY, MD---C. Benton Reavis has been added as the third soloist for “Savor Goes to the Moon,” a benefit for the Salisbury State Symphony Orchestra on Friday, March 23 in the Commons. Reavis sings selections from the opera Porgy and Bess including “A Woman is a Sometime Thing,” “I Got Plenty of Nuttin’” and “Beth, You is My Woman.”
Reavis, director of choral activities and chairman of the Music Department at James M. Bennett High School, is active in several professional educational and musical associations including the Salisbury Community Band, the Community Singers and the Salisbury Choral Society. He is also the director of music at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church in Delmar.
Reavis joins soloists Beth Holder and Scott Hawkins who also will perform.
