SPJ Hosts 'Balancing Act' Journalism Panel March 30

Balancing Act March 30SALISBURY, MD---Can journalists be politically active and still report objectively?

The Society of Professional Journalists — Salisbury University Chapter and Maryland/Delaware/District of Columbia Press Association attempt to answer that question during the panel discussion “Balancing Act” 6 p.m. Thursday, March 30, in SU’s Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons Assembly Hall.

Panelists include Jim McLaughlin, deputy general counsel for The Washington Post; Dr. Jennifer Cox, SU associate professor of communications and president of the Society of Professional Journalists—Maryland Professional Chapter; and Michele Ennis, director of Tri-Community Mediation. Additional industry panelists will address reporters’ perspectives. Jim Lee, editor of the Dover Post, moderates.
