SU Bookstore Director Lisa Gray One of '20 Women to Watch'

class=""MsoNormal"">SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University Bookstore Director Lisa Gray recently was honored as one of The College Store Magazine’s “20 Women to Watch.”

class=""MsoNormal"">Through the list, the leading college bookstore trade magazine recognizes women who have an exemplary impact on the collegiate retailing industry.

class=""MsoNormal"">Gray was praised for her efforts at SU, which have included:

class=""MsoNormal"">Using technology to promote the SU store and making it more efficient;

class=""MsoNormal"">Using the store’s Web site, which generated $1.1 million in sales, to help curb the long lines; 

class=""MsoNormal"">Shortening the book buy-back process by implementing handheld units to scan books, eliminating keystrokes and paper receipts; and

class=""MsoNormal"">Helping incoming students adapt to SU by creating a CD that contains pertinent store information such as return policies, textbook information, store contacts and links to special services including residence linens and gift baskets.

class=""MsoNormal"">Along with Gray, the list included book store professionals from universities nationwide, including Stanford, Wake Forrest and Carnegie Mellon.
