SU Community Members Discuss 9/11 Attacks on WSDL's 'Delmarva Today' Sept. 9

SALISBURY, MD---Delmarva Public Radio’s Delmarva Today examines the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 through the remembrances and thoughts of four Salisbury University community members: Dr. Rosemary Thomas, vice president of University Advancement and executive director of the SU Foundation, lost a loved one in the attack on the Twin Towers. Dr. James Hatley, a professor in the Philosophy Department who has written about the Holocaust, had a daughter who was living in New York at the time. Timothy Kane, an SU alumnus, volunteered with the New York Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management in the weeks following 9/11 as a night manager in charge of rescue and recovery logistics. Gail Phillips, who now works in the Social Work Department, was returning from a board meeting at Diakonia in Ocean City at the time.
